About Abraham
Abraham is the founder & President of CGR* (Canadian Global Response), a federally-registered humanitarian organization in Canada- and part of the NGO Council of Alberta. He provides various trainings, including Sphere training, both in Canada & around the world.
He has lived & worked globally in the humanitarian field for 40+ years. He’s been involved/ led major disaster response: Iran earthquake, China earthquake, Georgia post-war, Lebanon post-war relief, and the ongoing Iraq & Syrian crises.
Based in Greece for 20+ years– he founded Oasis & A.M.C. ( (refugee centers)– he overseas Community Development & Disaster Relief project implementation & evaluation in the Balkans, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Abraham is Ambassador-at-Large for IIPT (International Institute for Peace through Tourism) ~ http://www.iipt.org
*Canadian Global Response adheres to and trains others in the Sphere project initiative. CGR abides by the humanitarian charter and minimum standards in humanitarian response, with the belief that people have the right to life with dignity.
