Amid critical funding gaps affecting the Response to Venezuelans (R4V) in Ecuador, the Refugees and Migrants Working Group (GTRM) delivered a foundational Sphere Standards training to empower 28 practitioners from civil society organizations (CSOs) nationwide.
This capacity-building initiative equipped frontline responders—including 19 women and 9 men—with the tools to design and implement efficient, high-quality, and people-centered humanitarian programs aligned with global best practices. Five participants directly coordinate GTRM’s humanitarian response in Ecuador, enhancing strategic coherence across the response ecosystem.
