Sphere is hosting a series of webinars to share good practice and technical guidance on humanitarian standards in the COVID-19 response. This fourth webinar will analyse how local humanitarian actors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in the framework of complex and protracted crises. This project was funded by the H2H Network’s “H2H Fund”, which is supported by UK aid from the UK government.
The event will be delivered in both Arabic and English. We will provide simultaneous interpretation Arabic/English and live captions in English.

يستضيف اسفير مجموعة من الحلقات الدراسية عبر الانترنت لمشاركة الممارسات الجيدة والإرشادات الفنية بشأن المعايير الإنسانية في الاستجابة لكوفيد-19. وستحلل هذه الحلقة الدراسية الرابعة كيفية استجابة الجهات الفاعلة الإنسانية المحلية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا لوباء كوفيد-19 في ظل الأزمات المعقدة والممتدة.

سيقدم الحدث باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. ونحن نسعى جاهدين لتوفير ترجمة فورية، بما في ذلك لغة الإشارة والتعليقات التوضيحية المباشرة.

Overall webinar objectives

Review Sphere COVID-19 guidance and its relevance to the MENA region;
Highlight the importance of mainstreaming Health standards in all humanitarian programmes;
Address multisectoral challenges in the adaptation of emergency responses to COVID-19 in the MENA region;
Elicit feedback from webinar participants to draw out lessons learned.
