Dinig at Tinig — Filipino for “Hearing and Voice,” brings together agency teams and community members in BASECO Compound, Manila, Philippines for a hands-on training and field exercise grounded in the People First Impact Method (P-FIM). Following a period of orientation and training, teams engage the community in two key phases: Dinig, a goal-free listening visit where teams set aside their own priorities to simply hear what residents choose to share, and Tinig, a two-way engagement visit where community concerns are brought into open conversation alongside agency priorities. The name reflects P-FIM’s core belief, that listening must come before speaking, and that engagement with communities is not a transaction but an ongoing relationship. This exercise is convened by Sphere with the support of the Republic and Canton of Geneva.
