DPPI FLEX 2023 is a full scale simulation exercise for DPPI SEE countries, organized around flood scenario in Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on drone flying operations, logistics and Sphere application in camp management.
The organization of the DPPI SEE full-scale field exercise DPPI FLEX 2023 is aimed at testing regional cooperation and interoperability among the disaster response teams; cooperation with incoming international assistance and host nation support, providing assessment using unmanned aerial vehicles, camp management planning activities, logistics management of in-kind assistance in wide framework of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism.
Command Post part of the exercise will take place on 23 October 2023 where process of the requesting, offering and accepting international assistance will be exercised.
Arrival of the teams at the Bosnia and Herzegovina border should be in the morning on 24 October in order to reach Reception/Departure Centre in Brčko District, between 14:00 and 16:00 (local time).
Field exercise activities will start upon arrival at RDC. Field exercise activities will end in afternoon on 26 October.
The Base of Operations will be located at designated location in Brčko district (detailed info on location will be communicated prior to arrival of national teams).
Departure of teams from Brčko District is foreseen for 27 October 2023 after Evaluation Workshop.
For the DPPI FLEX 2023, please note that:
– DPPI SEE countries are invited to participate with max. 10 persons per team involved in team management, drone operations, camp management support and logistics planning support.
