Introduction to Sphere, 3 December 2022, Jaroslaw, Poland

Participants: 25 All Hands and Hearts staff and volunteers rehabilitating 2 shelters for Ukrainian refugees in Poland

Objective: To familiarise participants with the structure of the Sphere Handbook, its principles and standards, and how to use them in humanitarian response.

By the end of this workshop, participants were able to:

• Explain the Sphere philosophy and use the Sphere handbook;
• Apply minimum humanitarian standards and guidelines to specific challenges encountered in their daily work;
• Demonstrate how listening to people and adjusting programming helps displaced persons in regaining dignity, well-being, and influence over their lives.
