Ayala Foundation’s Disaster Education Program, called “Maging Handa: Upskilling Disaster Responders,” falls under the Preparedness and Prevention & Mitigation Pillars of our framework. We aim to equip participants with the necessary skills to conduct similar training in their respective communities.
By offering Disaster Resilience Education to partner communities, we are contributing to SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 13, SDG 16 and SDG 17.
This is our response to the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Sphere Standards, Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028: Accelerate Climate Action & Strengthen Disaster Resilience, Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, the Updated National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (NDRRMP), and the Local Climate Change and Action Plans of the community.
