Dear friends and colleagues,
Aktion Deutschland Hilft together with Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. and Johanniter International Assistance would kindly like to invite you to the 6-day ONLINE Sphere-Workshop from 05 – 10 September 2021.
In course of the participative workshop, the contents of the fourth edition of The Sphere Handbook (2018) will be brought closer to the participants. The four foundation chapters as main component of the Sphere project: What is Sphere?, the Humanitarian Charter, the Protection Principles as well as the Core Humanitarian Standard will be introduced. Additionally, the participants will experience the four technical chapters in-depth. The detailed agenda will be shared with the final participants.
The workshop has been developed in cooperation with Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and World Vision. The project is funded by the Federal Foreign Office in Germany and supports capacity sharing and knowledge expansion of the most widely referenced set of humanitarian principles and standards.
WHO Can Apply?:
Participants for the training will be selected based on the following criteria:
• Local humanitarian field practitioners and mid-level managers
• Professional experience and area of responsibility
• Regional focus
• Motivation statement within the application form
• Applicants commitment („Participant Commitment Form“)
• Overall: gender balance and inclusiveness will be taken into account
Maximum number of participants: 25
Training language: English
Course fees: The training is free of charge for all participants.
