Launch of the Sphere Handbook 2018 in Spanish
Objective
To contribute to validate the importance of the Sphere Handbook 2018, not as a guide but as a tool to contextualize and strengths our accountability, based on the Humanitarian Charter and the Essential Humanitarian Standard in our work in preparedness and humanitarian assistance.
Participants
Is expected to have around 60 people in the launch, coming from:
- Sphere staff form Geneva
- Head of civil defense of Cuba
- Staff of the Cuba government
- CEPREDENAC, representatives. This is the specialized institution of the Central American Integration System for natural disaster prevention, mitigation and response.
- Caribbean civil society representatives
- Cuban civil society representatives
- Ecumenical organizations representatives.
- Special guests ( ambassadors and others)
- ACT members form The Caribbean and central America
- ACT staff
Program
On Monday 16th of September, along with the closing ceremony of the Training of Trainers, graduating 28 people in the Sphere Handbook 2018, the launch includes seminars, forums, panel discussions, workshops, AGMs and networking opportunities.
CEPREDENAC agradece a ACT Alliance la invitación para acompañar el lanzamiento del Manual Esfera en América Central y El Caribe como herramienta para contextualizar y fortalecer la calidad y responsabilidad de la respuesta humanitaria, basada en la Carta Humanitaria, el derecho y principios humanitarios y fortalecer el trabajo en preparación y respuesta ante desastres. Esta herramienta actualizada será referencia para la aplicación en la Región Centroamericana y República Dominicana.
