Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief & Development (ACBAR) & Community World Service Asia (CWSA) are hosting a national level launch of the new Sphere Handbook at ACBAR’s office on Monday November 19, 2018 in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The revised edition of the Sphere handbook marks a significant achievement for humanitarian quality and accountability. It consolidates learning and evidence from those operations which have most effective humanitarian response in recent years, while also reflecting on the expertise of a diverse range of global practitioners who have directly contributed in the revision process over the past year.
Community World Service Asia, being the Sphere regional partner in Asia is hosting the Sphere 2018 Handbook launch across Asia at regional and country levels. To launch the handbook in Afghanistan, they are collaborating with their partners, ACBAR, who along with their members and partners, have played a significant role in the handbook revision process. Their support has ensured the process to be more comprehensive and inclusive.
