Starting with February 24, 2022, the Republic of Moldova is facing the consistent and multidimensional impact of refugee flows from Ukraine, the most significant of which are challenges in managing support activities for over 90,000 refugees from Ukraine who stay temporarily in the Republic of Moldova.

The experience and good international practices of the last more than 20 years demonstrate that humanitarian crises can be better managed if the staff in all relevant entities know the fundamental principles and operational standards in humanitarian response.

In this context, Caritas Moldova and the International Organization for Migration in Moldova organize two-day training sessions for staff of relevant entities on the SPHERE handbook and the Minimum Standards in humanitarian response.

Topic – Introduction to Sphere Minimum Standards.

Venue – Caritas Moldova’s head office in Chisinau, 30/1 Gheorghe Asachi Street
Date – 28-29 May
Time – 09:00 AM to 17:00 PM
Language – Romanian

Participants profile – Interesting, involved and highly motivated staff from Civil Society Organizations and State Agencies – ready to embrace good knowledge and practices for improvement and growth! The training is specifically meant for representatives of CSOs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, local authorities, and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

More training sessions are yet to come…

SPHERE training is carried out by Caritas Moldova and the International Organization for Migration from Moldova and financed by the International Organization for Migration from Moldova.
