A training course on the Sphere guide in Homs

In order to improve the quality of humanitarian aid provided to people affected by disasters, a “Sphere” course was held for 26 volunteers from different teams in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Homs.

This four-day course dealt with an introduction about the Humanitarian Charter, its importance for workers in disaster affairs, the code of conduct, and the project’s minimum standards: (Water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion, Food security, and nutrition assessment, Shelter and settlement, Non-food items: clothing, bedding, and household items, and health action)

This training course also included a preparedness case study against the Corona Virus pandemic in the practical section.
