Sphere training course launched for 15 volunteers
Since the Syrian Arab Red Crescent is keen on building capacities and raising capabilities of staff and volunteers in the face of different emergencies, the Training and Rehabilitation Department in Rural Damascus has completed a 4-day Sphere Principles course with 15 volunteers from the Qatana sub branch.
During the training, supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the participants gained knowledge about Sphere project, the Basic Humanitarian Charter, the principles of protection, the basic human standard, health, water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, food security and nutrition, shelter and human settlements.
