MFCD Sri Lanka

The MFCD’s Mission statement states that its purpose is “To alleviate human suffering and to promote human welfare through rapid and effective disaster management “, whilst its Vision statement looks forward to “a prosperous Sri Lanka in which the basic needs of all communities are addressed, values upheld and human suffering is eliminated / lessened.

MFCD’s core values are Impartiality, Accountability, Excellence, Commitment and Humanitarianism.

MFCD’s operational strengths lie in mobilizing the power of volunteers from its Island-wide network and is closely working in tandem with many NGOs’ to assist the marginalized segments of society across the country in a variety of ways.
