Focus on humanitarian financing

These and other questions are addressed by the Global Humanitarian Assistance (GHA) report, an annual publication on global trends in humanitarian financing.

The report “provides the most up-to-date and comprehensive picture of global humanitarian financing, and describes some of the key trends and developments of the last decade,” the authors say.

The GHA report 2013 highlights efforts to strengthen humanitarian response such as principles, standards and accountability frameworks; transparency; the use of technology to empower beneficiaries; and resilience.

The report also provides a snapshot of recent emergencies (such as Syria) and their human impact.

Launched on 17 July at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) meeting in Geneva, the GHA report 2013 is published by Development Initiatives Poverty Research Ltd., a not-for-profit company registered in the UK.
