Humanitarian initiatives to strengthen collaboration

Meeting in Geneva on 20 July, top representatives of the Sphere Project, the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) International, People In Aid and the Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action (ALNAP) undertook a frank and wide-reaching assessment of their impact and effectiveness. They acknowledged the need to adapt to the ever changing aid environment. As a consequence, they outlined a series of plans and commitments allowing them to better serve the humanitarian sector and ultimately the people affected by disasters and conflicts.
