Seven-minute expert talks on humanitarian affairs

In preparing for their meeting in New York City last May, the Sphere Board aimed at securing input from a variety of experts; a wide range of perspectives thus fed into their discussions about the .

17 experts were interviewed, mostly over Skype. They included heads of international and national NGOs, humanitarian directors, UN officials, academics, trainers and think-tank members.

All were asked to share their views on current humanitarian trends, on the main challenges and opportunities as well as the future of the sector – and, of course, on what role they foresee for the Sphere Project within that big picture.

The result is a series of seven-minute videos which offer a snapshot of the current thinking within the humanitarian sector.
