Social Worker with a degree in Social Work from the Catholic University Silva Henriquez, with over 20 years of work experience in family intervention, humanitarian assistance and community management for disaster risk reduction.
Since 2010 to date, I work in Caritas Chile as head of the Environment, Risk Management and Emergencies Program. In addition, I am Regional Referent in the Risk Management and Integral Ecology Working Group of the Latin American and Caribbean Secretariat of Caritas (SELACC) and Regional Representative of Latin America and the Caribbean in the Humanitarian Committee of Caritas Internationalis.
From 2013 to July 2015 I served as executive secretary of the Chilean Humanitarian Aid Network – RAHCh and during the period 2020 to 2024 I was the National Focal Point in the Global Network of Civil Society for DRR (GNDR).
In 2011 I participated in the training workshop on the Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards for Humanitarian Response. In 2012 I participated in the CPC on the Sphere Project, both courses have been dictated in Santiago de Chile by Martin Villarroel and convened by the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System. In the year 2021 I took the Training of Trainers course – SPHERE, online modality, given by RedR UK. Since 2012 I have participated as a facilitator, co-facilitator and resource person in workshops on SPHERE Manual given in Chile to professionals of Caritas Chile and Caritas Paraguay, civil society organizations, students of the SPHERE Intervention Standards course of the Master of Research and Management of Emergencies and Disasters of the University of Oviedo – Spain that is dictated in Chile through an agreement with Universidad Autónoma de Chile, students of the Humanitarian Aid course taught by the Joint Center for Peace Operations of Chile (CECOPAC). I have also conducted training sessions on Manual ESFERA for volunteers organized by the National Youth Institute (INJUV).

Desde el 2010 a la fecha, trabaja en Caritas Chile como encargada del Programa Medio Ambiente, Gestión del Riesgo y Emergencias. Además, es Referente Regional en el Grupo de Trabajo Gestión del Riesgo y Ecología Integral en la Secretaría Latinoamérica del Caribe de Caritas (SELACC) y Representante Regional de América Latina y el Caribe en el Comité Humanitario de Caritas Internationalis.
Desde el 2013 y hasta julio 2015 se desempeño como secretaria ejecutiva de la Red de Ayuda Humanitaria Chilena – RAHCh y durante el período 2020 a 2024 fue Punto Focal Nacional en la Red Global de la Sociedad Civil para la RRD (GNDR).
En el año 2011 participo en el taller de formación sobre Carta Humanitaria y Normas Mínimas de Respuesta Humanitaria. En el año 2012 participo en el CpC sobre Proyecto Esfera, ambos cursos fueron dictados en Santiago de Chile por Martín Villarroel y convocados por el Coordinador Residente del Sistema de Naciones Unidas. En el año 2021 realizo el curso de Formación de Formadores – ESFERA, modalidad online, que imparte RedR UK. Desde el año 2012 ha participado como facilitadora, co-facilitadora y recurso persona en talleres sobre Manual ESFERA impartidos a profesionales de Caritas Chile, organizaciones de la sociedad civil, alumnos del curso Estándares de Intervención ESFERA del Master de Investigación y Gestión de Emergencias y Desastres de la Universidad de Oviedo – España que se dicta en Chile a través de convenio con Universidad Autónoma de Chile, alumnos del curso de Ayuda Humanitaria que imparte el Centro Conjunto para Operaciones de Paz de Chile (CECOPAC). También he realizado espacios de formación sobre Manual ESFERA al voluntariado que convoca el Instituto Nacional de la Juventud (INJUV) y profesionales que convoca la Red MovidosxChile.
