About Khaled
Khaled holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and has been working in the humanitarian sector for over 13 years. He is an active member of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, responding to the crisis in Syria since its onset and has played various roles with different teams such as relief, shelter, and WASH. This included cross-line missions and humanitarian convoys. Currently, he works as a Capacity Building Supervisor & SARC sub-branches Coordinator at the headquarters of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
Since 2020, Khaled has been working with IFRC RO-MENA as a Disaster Risk Management Senior Officer, supporting 17 National Societies in the MENA region in DRM.
Khaled has been a disaster management trainer since 2016 and a WASH trainer since 2015. He has been a focal point for Sphere in Syria since 2019 and has worked on translating the Sphere training package from English into Arabic.
He has facilitated many training courses and workshops in Syria, and also many training courses and workshops with IFRC as a co-facilitator in the MENA region in different locations.
يحمل خالد درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية ويعمل في القطاع الإنساني منذ أكثر من 13 عامًا. وهو عضو نشط في الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري، حيث يستجيب للأزمة في سوريا منذ بدايتها ولعب أدوارًا مختلفة مع فرق مختلفة مثل الإغاثة والمأوى والإصحاح والنهوض بالنظافة. وشمل ذلك المهمات عبر الخطوط والقوافل الإنسانية. يعمل حالياً كمشرف بناء القدرات ومنسق فروع الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري في المقر الرئيسي للهلال الأحمر العربي السوري
منذ عام 2020، يعمل خالد مع الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا كمسؤول أعلى لإدارة مخاطر الكوارث، حيث يدعم 17 جمعية وطنية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في مجال إدارة مخاطر الكوارث
يعمل خالد مدربًا في إدارة الكوارث منذ عام 2016 ومدربًا في مجال المياه ووالإصحاح والنهوض بالنظافة منذ عام 2015. وكان نقطة اتصال لاسفير في سوريا منذ عام 2019 وعمل على ترجمة حزمة تدريب اسفير من الإنجليزية إلى العربية
قام بتيسير العديد من الدورات التدريبية وورش العمل في سوريا، وكذلك العديد من الدورات التدريبية وورش العمل مع الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر كميسر مشارك في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في مواقع مختلفة
