About Pearson Marasha

Pearson Marasha holds a Masters in Development Studies (University of the Free State, RSA), Post-graduate Diploma in Project Planning & Management (University of Zimbabwe) and Bachelor of Arts (University of Zimbabwe).

He is a trained Trainer on Sphere Standards in Humanitarian Response (2011), a trained trainer in Child Safeguarding & Child Protection and has training in UN Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement, Cash transfer in Humanitarian Emergencies and several other disciplines. He has trained directors, managers, practitioners and field staff on Sphere both as Lead facilitator and co-facilitator and has vast practical experience in the application of the standards, with over 8 years’ experience in project planning and implementation (both at field and management levels), humanitarian response and livelihoods/early recovery work and have managed partnerships with UN agencies and other international agencies, including UNHCR, IOM, UNICEF, UNFPA, WFP, Save the Children, Oxfam GB-UK, Caritas, etc
