Saskia Carusi es antropóloga social por la Universidad de Sussex, Reino Unido y master en Estudios de Desarrollo con especialización en Desarrollo Local y Regional. Tiene una amplia experiencia de trabajo con ONGs en países de América Central y Caribe, y en el Norte de África, con 15 años de experiencia en la formulación de proyectos, implementación de programas y evaluación de proyectos en el sector de respuestas humanitarias y gestión de riesgos. Ha coordinado la respuesta humanitaria para el Huracán Mitch, la tormenta tropical STAN, la tormenta tropical Agatha y la TD12 E en los sectores de albergues, seguridad alimentaria, nutrición, salud, agua, saneamiento e higiene”
