Sphere Handbook Basic Course (22 hours), Quito, Ecuador, 9-10 November 2023

I have taught the session nº12 -15 in the basic course of the sphere handbook for the staff of the Ministry of Education of Ecuador.

Session 15 focused on Sphere and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
The objectives of the session were:
– Define sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and actively advocate against it;
– Distinguish clearly between SEA and SEA (sexual harassment), SEA (sexual harassment and abuse), SGBV (gender-based violence) and SGBV (sexual and gender-based violence);
– Refer others to the Sphere Handbook sections that provide guidance on PSEA (protection from sexual exploitation and abuse).

Session 12 Sphere and program cycle.
The objective was:
– Describe the 5 phases of the program cycle.
– Apply Sphere guidance to support humanitarian response in each of the different phases of the cycle.
