M. Manuela Farina, Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Bologna (Italy), postgraduate studies in International Cooperation and Development (Hegoa Institute, UPV); and Master in Gender, Society and Politics, PRIGEPP, FLACSO Argentina. I have more than 10 years of experience in development and humanitarian assistance projects with a focus on gender, intersectionality and human mobility.
I have developed my professional career in different instances among which, in the United Nations System, in the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, UN Women; Fundación Esperanza; CARE Ecuador; Plan International. I also have experience in different countries in Latin America, working as a technician in international cooperation projects and as a specialist in gender and protection. I am a Sphere Facilitator and have given several workshops on “Sphere and the prevention and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)”, deepening on the Sphere sections that provide guidance on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA). As well as on the Minimum Standards for the Protection of Children in Humanitarian Action.

M. Manuela Farina, titulaire d’une licence en sciences de l’éducation de l’université de Bologne (Italie), d’études de troisième cycle en coopération internationale et développement (Institut Hegoa, UPV) et d’un master en genre, société et politique, PRIGEPP, FLACSO Argentine. J’ai plus de 10 ans d’expérience dans des projets de développement et d’aide humanitaire, avec un accent sur le genre, l’intersectionnalité et la mobilité humaine.
J’ai développé ma carrière professionnelle dans différentes instances, notamment au sein du système des Nations unies, à l’Agence des Nations unies pour l’égalité des sexes et l’autonomisation des femmes (UN Women), à la Fundación Esperanza, à CARE Ecuador et à Plan International. J’ai également de l’expérience dans différents pays d’Amérique latine, en tant que technicienne de projets de coopération internationale et spécialiste du genre et de la protection. Je suis facilitatrice Sphère et j’ai animé plusieurs ateliers sur “Sphère et la prévention et la protection contre l’exploitation et les abus sexuels (PSEA)”, en approfondissant les sections de Sphère qui fournissent des orientations sur la protection contre l’exploitation et les abus sexuels (PSEA). Ainsi que les normes minimales pour la protection des enfants dans l’action humanitaire.

Tengo una experiencia de más de 10 años en proyectos de desarrollo y asistencia humanitaria con enfoque de género, interseccionalidad y movilidad humana.
He desarrollado mi trayectoria profesional en diferentes instancias entre las cuales, en el Sistema de Naciones Unidas, en la Agencia de las Naciones Unidas para la igualdad de Género y el Empoderamiento de las Mujeres, ONU Mujeres; Fundación Esperanza; CARE Ecuador; Plan International. Asimismo, tengo experiencia en diferentes países de América Latina, trabajando como técnica de proyectos de cooperación internacional y especialista en género y protección.
