About Yvan

Yvan Conoir has been a humanitarian professional for the UN (UNHCR, UNICEF) as well as for international NGO (CARE Canada, CECI, Pearson Peacekeeping Training Center) before becoming an international consultant in Evaluation. He has initiated the development of the Master Program in International Development and Humanitarian Action at the University Laval and has taught the management of Humanitarian Operations at the University of Quebec and U. of Montreal. He has been a Sphere Trainer in Canada since the early 2000 and teaches SPHERE on a yearly basis for Master students and NGO Professionals at the University Laval as well as for the canadien Humanitarian Response Network (HRN). Other I have attended the first Training of Trainers in Geneva (1998). Immediately after I was sent to El Salvador with Ms Veronica Foubert then Sphere Training focal point to deliver with her – for 40 NGO and Civil Protection officers – the first training La Esfera in the City of El Salvador.
